Follow the steps listed below, in order, until the issue is resolved.
  1. Verify the plug-in version matches the Blackbaud NetCommunity version
    1. Access the Blackbaud NetCommunity plug-in, Options, About.
    2. Confirm the Blackbaud NetCommunity plug-in version matches the version on the Blackbaud NetCommunity test configuration page.
  2. Perform database maintenance, but do not shrink the database.
  3. Change the PluginService url to use the FQDN
    1. Access the Blackbaud NetCommunity plug-in on the Blackbaud NetCommunity web server, Options, URL.
    2. Change the Blackbaud NetCommunity Web Service URL from IP address to the fully qualified domain name.
    3. Add an 's' to the "http://".
    4. Example:
      From: http://122.122.458.369/pluginservice/masterservice.asmx
If the above steps do not correct the issue, follow the steps below: Please contact the appropriate software vendor or IT professional for assistance with this process or issue, which is beyond Blackbaud's scope of support.
  1. Verify that the Windows Firewall is off on both The Raiser's Edge server and the Blackbaud NetCommunity web Server.
  2. Verify that ports 80 & 443 are open on the client Firewall.
  3. Verify that your network firewall is allowing SQL access from your client workstation to The Raiser's Edge, The Education Edge, and Blackbaud  NetCommunity database servers
