Windows 2000

  1. Click Start, Run and type WINMSD
  2. Click OK
  3. The processor speed is listed in the Value next to the Processor Item and the RAM is listed as KB next to the Total Physical Memory Item.

Windows NT

  1. Click Start, Run and type WINMSD
  2. Click OK
  3. Select the System tab. The processor speed is listed in the Processors box

Windows 98

Use the Microsoft utility Winrep.exe
  1. Click Start , point to Programs , point to Accessories , point to System Tools , and then click System Information .
  2. On the Tools menu, click Windows Report Tool .
  3. On the Options menu, click Collected Information . The CPU speed is displayed under COMPSPEED.
