1. In Accounts Receivable, go to Open, Invoices, click New.
  2. Select the appropriate dates.
  3. Select the Customer number or name.
  4. For Type, select Credit Memo.
  5. Enter a description.
  6. Select a code.
  7. Enter an amount.
  8. Click File, Save.
Once the Credit Memo has been entered
  1. In Reciepts, Click New.
  2. enter the Customer number or name.
  3. Under Charges, enter the amount to Apply under the Apply Column.
  4. Save the Receipt.
  5. Post.
