Note: All users must be logged out of FundWare before running the following script. You must also be on the server and signed in as Local Administrator.

The script below should only be run with support assistance unless you are comfortable with running SQL scripts.

After running the script and getting good results on rows deleted, if the client still gets error 5, then reboot the server. 

To run the script from DOS: 

  1. Open DOS by going to Start, Run, Cmd.
    Note: You should be at the root of the drive that FundWare is on, meaning the prompt should look similar to c:\>
  2. At the DOS prompt, type in: osql -E <Hit Enter> (Note: this is case sensitive and there is a space between osql and -E)
  3. At the 1> prompt, type in: use afwcore <Hit Enter>
  4. At the 2> prompt, type in: go <Hit Enter>
  5. At the 1> prompt, type in: delete from central <Hit Enter>
  6. At the 2> prompt, type in: go <Hit Enter>
    Note: You will be notified how many rows were effected (in this case, deleted). If you have a lot of rows, this can take a few moments.
  7. At the 1> prompt, type in: update instance set instanceid=1 <Hit Enter>
  8. At the 2> prompt, type in: go <Hit Enter>
    Note: You will get a message of "1 row affected"
  9. Type Exit and hit enter to exit SQL. Type  Exit and hit enter to exit DOS.
  10. Open the AP folder again.
To run the script from SQL Server Management Studio:

       1. Right Click AFWCore from the Databases tree
       2. Choose New Query
       3. Type delete from central <Hit Enter>
       4. Type go <Hit Enter>
       5. Type update instance set instanceid=1 <Hit Enter>
       6. Type go <Hit Enter>
       7. Click Execute
       * The number of rows will display
       8. Login to FundWare and Continue working

If this error is being received right after a PaperSave installation and the issue is not resolved, it may be due to the way PaperSave was installed and that needs to be addressed by your PaperSave Technician.  Outside of getting a FundWare registration key that includes PaperSave, The Addition of the PaperSave Product is third Party and is handled by PaperSave.
