Perform the steps below in the following order until resolved:

1. Reboot the server.

2. Reset Permissions on the FundWare Folder:

  • Launch Windows Explorer.
  • Browse to the FundWare folder and right click it.
  • Select Properties.
  • Select the Security tab.
  • If your FundWare group is not listed in the Name section, click Add and select    your FundWare group.
  • Highlight your FundWare group.
  • In the Permissions section, grant Full Control.
  • Click Advanced.
  • Mark the checkbox to Reset permissions on all child objects.
  • Click Apply.

3. Reset Permissions in the registry:

  • Select Start -> Run.
  • At Open, type regedt32.
  • Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> FundWare.
  • Highlight the FundWare folder.
  • Select Security -> Permissions.
  • If your FundWare group is not listed in the Name section, click Add and select    your FundWare group.7. Highlight your FundWare group.
  • In the Permissions section, grant Full Control.
  • Click Advanced.
  • Mark the checkbox to Reset permissions on all child objects.
  • Click Apply.
  • Repeat these steps for the Micro Focus folder and the ODBC folder.
  • Reboot the server.


If the above steps do not resolve the error:

4. Delete the User Folder

  • At the server, click on My Computer or right click on Start, Explore.
  • Drill down to My Computer, (C) Local Disk, Documents and Settings.
  • Right click on the folder with the user name that is receiving this error, click on delete.
  • This folder will be recreated when the user signs back into Fundware.
