First, apply the MICR font to the APC form:
  1. Select Start, Programs, Advanced Printer Control, Form Setup.
  2. Enter the login credentials to Form Setup.
  3. Double-click on the check form that is being used.
  4. Click the Design button.
  5. Click on the MICR line box.
  6. Right-click on the selected box and select Properties.
  7. Click the Font button.
  8. In the font list, select the font MICR E13B V.
  9. Select Regular as the font styler and a size of 12.
  10. Click OK and save the changes. Note: Repeat for each part of the account/routing string.
If the MICR E13B V is missing in the font list, you need to add it to the local directory.  This may occur when you have migrated to a new server. Follow these steps:
  1. On the old server, access the Fonts folder (normally located at C:/WINDOWS/Font).
  2. Find the font MICR E13B V in the list and copy the font.
  3. On the new server, access the Fonts folder.
  4. Paste the MICR E13B V font in this folder.
  5. Print preview the checks to see if the bank symbols print rather than 'A' and 'C'.   If bank symbols do not show, reboot the server for the font changes to take effect.
