Active Users list in Blackbaud Management Console shows RE User for all users; Error: This record is currently opened by user [blank] on machine [blank]. You will not be able to save changes.

The Active Users section in Blackbaud Management Console allows you to view and disconnect users that are connected to the database.  When integrated with Blackbaud NetCommunity or Researcher's Point and accessing the integrations via The Raiser's Edge, the Active Users section in the Blackbaud Management Console shows RE User for all users.  Also when accessing a record that is opened by another user, The Raiser's Edge is not showing which user names or machine names in the error message displayed.
We resolved this issue in version 7.91.5056, patch 4. Download and install the latest patch, which contains all fixes from previous patches. If you are running an older version, download and install the latest version and then the patch.

Alternative Solution:

 

  1. Exit and Sign Out of The Raiser's Edge.
  2. Log back into The Raiser's Edge.
  3. Do not click on Blackbaud NetCommunity or ResearchPoint on the navigation bar or on a constituent record.
  4. Open the Blackbaud Management Console.
  5. The users appear with their correct user names.
