1. Open the General Ledger.  From the toolbar select Tools > Options.
  2. Select the Records Tab.
  3. In the Drop down choose an option other than <Blank> on how to display General Ledger for Windows account numbers.
  4. Select Apply, then OK to close the Options screen.
  5. Proceed with filtering for specific accounts on your report. 
Note:  This option is user specific and would need to be set for other Financial Edge users that receive the message.

If you are receiving this error when trying to specify a range of accounts as a filter on a report:
  1. Highlight the second line that does not contain any accounts
  2. Select Delete on your keyboard
  3. Click Yes to delete the extra line
