This issue is a result of the Citrix Receiver incompatibility with OSX 10.9.5. Blackbaud recommends not upgrading to this newer operating system until Citrix releases a version if Receiver that supports this operating system.
Per Citrix Knowledgebase CTX200212
"To resolve this issue, complete the following steps:
Press Command + Tab and exit the session to the local Mac desktop.
Press Command + Tab again to return to the session.
The keyboard functions thereafter in that session."

For Mac OSX versions prior to 10.9.5:
- Uninstall your current version of the Citrix metaframe client.
- Download and install the Latest version of Citrix Receiver for Mac OSX.
