Use a Pivot Report (Reports, Pivot Reports)

  1. Create a gift query of the gifts we want to include.
  2. In the Output tab of the query, include Gift Subtype and any other appropriate fields.
  3. Save and close the query.
  4. Create a pivot report.
  5. In the Pivot report, right-click and choose Field List or click the Field List icon at the top of the window.
  6. In the PivotTable Field List, expand Gift Subtype.
  7. Choose Gift Subtype and drag and drop the field into the Drop Row Fields Here section.
  8. In the PivotTable Field List, expand Totals.
  9. Choose Total Gift Amount and drag and drop the field into the Drop Totals or Detail Fields Here section.

Use a Cash Receipts Journal (Reports, Financial Reports) with optional columns
  1. Create a gift query of the gifts we want to include.
  2. In the Output tab of the query, include Gift Subtype and any other appropriate fields.
  3. Save and close the query.
  4. Open Reports, Financial Reports
  5. Select the Cash Receipts Journal
  6. On the General tab, Include the Query from Steps #1-3.
  7. Enter the appropriate information on each of the tabs
  8. On the Format Tab, select Optional Columns.
  9. From the list of Optional Columns, double click on Gift Sub Type to include this in the report output.
  10. Click Print or Preview
