Detach the existing database, from SQL via the BMC, and attach the database from the backup.


Change the recovery model of the existing database from FULL or BULK-LOGGED to SIMPLE, allowing the transaction logs to be automatically written to the database. Shrink the database, if necessary, to force this process.
