Your network settings need to be properly configured to transfer or retrieve data. We recommend using one of the Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) options below:


The following settings are needed to transfer data via FTP. Contact your organization's system administrator if you need assistance modifying these settings.

  • Host Name/Account:
  • Server Type: SFTP
  • Port: TCP/IP traffic through port 22
  • A passive FTP connection
    Note: Your network, port or firewall cannot have an active connection for FTP. If it does, you will receive the following error: "Server unexpectedly closed network connection; Could not connect to server"
  • Your unique FTP User Name and Password
  • Cookies must be enabled

If you are unable to change your browser or network settings, burn your file to DVD and send it to the attention of the Blackbaud employee assisting you, including the employee's department.
