Users would like to be able to search for a non-constituent record. Currently, there is not a search feature for non-constituents, as there is for other record types in the Records module. Instead, we can use a Relationship Query to find the constituent record where the non-constituent record is linked.
1. In The Raiser's Edge, navigate to Query. 2. Select New Query and choose a Type of Relationship. 3. On the Criteria tab, select Individuals, Name. 4. On the Edit Field Criteria window, select an Operator of Contains and enter the individual's name into the Value field. Click OK. 5. On the Output tab, select any information that you wish to see in your results, such as the Individual's Name and the Constituent's Name where the relationship record exists. 6. Include any fields that you would like to sort by on the Sort tab. 7. Navigate to the Results tab, or click Run Now to view your Query results.
