• Retrieve the Updated File

      1. After you are notified that a file is ready, open the process that is ready to upload by going to Admin > Data Tune-Up > Change of address update process and selecting the appropriate process.
         
      2. From Step 2 on the process page, click Start. A processing page appears tracking the upload. The word "Complete" appears in the Status field of the Recent status tab when the upload is complete.
         

       
      • Review and Edit the File

        1. After you upload the update file, the Edit batch option included in Step 3 activates. Click Edit batch. The batch file opens.
           
        2. Fields you cannot edit are grayed out. All other fields can be changed. Make any necessary changes.
           
        3. Save and close the file.
           


         
        • Importing the Updates

          1. After you upload the update file, the Update addresses option included in Step 3 activates. Click Update addresses. The Commit parameters screen appears.
             
          2. To create a batch of all records that do not commit to the database, mark Create exception batch and enter a name to identify the exception batch.
             
          3. To create a selection of all the records created in the database when you commit the batch, mark Create output Selection and enter a name to help identify the selection. To overwrite any existing selection of the same name, mark Overwrite output Selection.
             
          4. To generate a control report after you commit the batch to the database, mark Create control report. The control report describes the committed batch and provides information about the records included in the batch.
             
          5. To validate the batch before you commit it to the database, mark Validate batch before committing.
             
          6. To delete the batch after you commit it to the database, mark Delete batch after committing. This will save space in your system.
             
          7. Click Start. The commit process begins.
             


           
          • View the Reports

            1. To view the batch control report, go to the batch commit status page and click View Control Report in the Reports frame.
               
            2. To view the batch exception report, go to the batch commit status page and click View Exception Report in the Reports frame.
            3. To retreive the CASS report,  click Get CASS Report from Blackbaud under the Task area
