Note : Before you proceed with the following instructions, back up the database. If your organization integrates multiple Blackbaud products, refer to the Additional Requirements section of the backup article.

This function is only available with the Budget Management module add-on.


  1. On the navigation bar, click Records, Budgets
  2. Select a budget and click Open
  3. Select Budget, Budget Tools from the Budget Manager menu bar
  4. Select Finalize scenario and click Next
  5. Select the appropriate Scenario ID and Fiscal Year of the budget to finalize, click Next
  6. Confirm the information on the Summary screen, click Finalize Now to finish
  7. Click View Control Report and print this for your records, or click Close to return to the Budgets page

Note: Once a budget is finalized, any changes to budgeted amounts are tracked as adjustments to the original budget.
