When post fails after validating succeeds, view or print the Batch Validation Report generated after posting. This can occur when the transaction amounts are distributed. Check the report for any of the following messages in a dark gray row in the report:
Error: Amount is required
Error: Fund is required
Error: Project is required
Error: Class is required
Error: [Transaction Code] is required (typically appears as Grant as the T-code)
Error: [Attribute] is required
If any of these are in the report,  follow these steps for each row that shows <Distributed> for Project ID, Transaction Codes, or Clas:
1. Highlight the row
2. On the Distributed tab, verify each distribution row has an amount or percent greater than 0
3. If there is an empty row or a row with a value or 0, correct the distribution or delete the row
4. Repeat for all distributed transactions
5. Save the Batch
6. Validate and Post
