Try each of the following steps in order until the issue is resolved:
  1. Grant access to the appropriate Academic Year
    1. Log into Faculty Access for the Web as Supervisor
    2. On the navigation bar, click Setup
    3. From the list on the left, select Academic Years
    4. In the School field, select the appropriate school
    5. Select Yes for each academic year that teachers can access in Faculty Access for the Web
    6. Click Save
  2. Ensure that teachers are scheduled for at least one class with the Keep Attendance checkbox marked on the course record in Registrar's Office during the selected academic year
  3. Logged into FAWeb as the teacher, click Settings on the Home page and verify that the correct academic year is selected.
     
  4. Verify the course the teacher is teaching has been marked to take attendance:
    1. Open the course record in Courses
    2. Select Restrictions 2 tab and open the appropriate academic year
    3. Mark the Track class attendance checkbox
    4. Click Ok
    5. Click Save and Close
  1. Grant rights to Attendance in Registrar's Office for users to have the Attendance area in Faculty Access for the Web:
    1. In Registrar's Office, Administration, click Set up System Security
    2. Open the security group the user is a member of
    3. Highlight Registrar's Office
    4. On the right-hand side, highlight Attendance and mark the checkbox
    5. Click Options
    6. Mark the View and Edit checkboxes
    7. Click Ok and Save and close the security group
      Note: If you give a Faculty Access user rights to Attendance, the user has rights to both the Attendance area of Faculty Access for the Web and Attendance in Registrar's Office
  2. Ensure the user does not have Supervisor or Administrator rights to Faculty Access for the Web:
    1. In Registrar's Office, Administration, click Set up System Security
    2. Open the user
    3. Select the User Information tab
    4. Unmark the FAWeb Supervisor rights checkbox or have someone other than a user marked as Supervisor add attendance
    5. Select the Online Security tab
    6. Highlight Faculty Access for the Web
    7. Ensure the correct Faculty/Staff record is listed in the Faculty/Staff record to link to field
    8. Unmark the Has administrator rights in Faculty Access for the Web checkbox or have someone other than a user marked as Administrator add attendance
