In version 7:

  1. Create an import file
  2. On the File Layout tab, select the Field names will be on the first line of the import option to include the headers or select the Import file will not contain field names option to exclude headers

OR

  1. Create an export file
  2. Select Character Separated Values, Comma-Separated Values, or Microsoft Word Merge as the Export format.
  3. Mark the Include Header checkbox to include the headers or unmark it to exclude the headers.

    Note: The Excel file formats automatically include the header information. This cannot be disabled in this format, so the Include Header checkbox is not avaialable.

In version 6:

  1. Export in Microsoft Word Merge File format
  2. Mark the Include Header Record checkbox to include the headers or unmark it to not include the headers.

    Note: You can also exclude the headers by exporting in any other format other than Microsoft Word Merge File format
