Error: Unable to connect to database..." or Error: "No databases were found for site...""

One of the following errors may be received:

Unable to connect to database
'(database name)'.
The error was:
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: TCP PRovider, error: 0 - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.)

Verify the following information:
1. The item in the web.config <connectionStrings> section named '(database name)' is a valid connectionstring.
2. The account that the web service is running under is a member of the BBAPPFXSERVICEROLE database role in the database specified in the connection string.
3. The SQLServer service is running on the server indicated in the connection string.
4. The max pool size is set correctly in the connection string for this server. The current setting is max pool size=100


No databases were found for site
'(database name)'. Please contact the system administrator.

Try the following steps to see if they resolve the issue:

  1. Delete the browser history, cookies, and temporary internet files.
  2. Delete the Apps>2.0 folder
  3. Restart the workstation
  4. Close the internet browser and try accessing Altru again
