On the solicitor’s constituent record Bio1 tab, check to see which of the following have been marked:

·         Is a solicitor?
·         Deceased?
·         Is inactive?
 
Additionally, click the solicitor Details button next to Is a solicitor? and see if This solicitor is inactive? has been marked.
 
If any of these are marked, The Raiser's Edge will still allow that solicitor to be credited on gifts. However, if these same options are not also marked on your search window, your solicitor may not appear. 

For instance, if This solicitor is inactive? is marked on the constituent record and the Display inactive solicitors checkbox is not marked on your search window, that solicitor will not be found.
