Personal Page link sent in Confirmation Email does not work

This covers situations in which the personal page link that is sent in a supporter's confirmation email upon registering does not work.  For example, the system generated personal page url may not link properly, or the [[personal_page_url]] added to the advanced confirmation text will route the user to the Blackbaud Page.

Participants now have the ability to edit their Friendly URL in their Participant HQ after they register for the event. First check to see if they have a different Friendly URL from when they first registered:
 

  1. Go to Communities > Special Events > Friends Asking Friends > Kintera Thon
  2. Hover over your event and click Bookkeeping > Manage Initiative Records
  3. Search for the participant
  4. Click Edit next to their name to see their current Friendly URL

If the Friendly URL has not changed from what is listed on the Confirmation Email:
