How to Apply the Batch Auto-Charge Globally to All Registration Types in an Event

  1. Go to Communities > Special Events > Friends Asking Friends > Kintera Thon
  2. Hover over your event's site and select Webinfo Checklist
  3. Click Fee Structure
  4. Enter a Minimum Fee Amount for the Suggested Goal Amount
  5. Mark Do not allow Participant to enter a fundraising goal that is lower than indicated above.
  6. Mark Collect credit card information for offline registrations
    • NOTE: You cannot use batch autocharge on a $0 registration type. You will need a fee greater than $0 to prompt the system to collect card information.
      1. Scroll down and click Edit for the registration fee
      2. Enter a Suggested Goal Amount
      3. Mark Do not allow Participant to enter a fundraising goal that is lower than indicated above.
      4. Mark Collect credit card information for offline registrations.
      5. Click Save
      6. Repeat as needed for all appropriate registration types.


How To apply the Batch Auto-Charge to Individual Registration Types

*The Auto-Charge Batch option can also be set up on individual Registration Types. To accomplish this:

  1. Go to Communities > Special Events > Friends Asking Friends > Kintera Thon
  2. Find your event
  3. Hover over the event name and select "Fee Structure"
  4. If you need to edit registration types you have already created, skip to the section below labeled: "EDIT EXISTING INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION TYPES", otherwise proceed to the next step.
  5. Scroll down to the "Registration Fees" section and click "Add Registration Type"
    •     Add the name of the new registration Type and an appropriate description
    •     Select "Payment Information" tab and enter the dollar amount (enter any other desired info on this tab)
    •     Select "Advanced" tab, Scroll down to the "Fundraising Goal" section and enter the "Suggested Goal Amount" (this is the amount they will have to reach to avoid being charged)
    •     Mark the checkbox "Do not allow Participant to enter a fundraising goal that is lower than indicated above."
    •     Mark the checkbox  "Collect credit card information for offline registrations."
    •     Enter any other desired information needed for the registration type (T-shirt sizes, Age limits, registration availability options, etc...)
  6. Save

 EDIT EXISTING INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION TYPES

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see your existing registration types
  2. Click "Edit" to the right of the registration type and a window will open
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and enter the Goal into the  "Suggested Goal Amount" (this is the amount they will have to reach to avoid being charged)
  4. Mark the checkbox "Do not allow Participant to enter a fundraising goal that is lower than indicated above."
  5. Mark the checkbox  "Collect credit card information for offline registrations."
  6. Enter any other desired information needed for the registration type (T-shirt sizes, Age limits, registration availability options, etc...)
  7. Save.

*NOTE* Make sure to Publish the Event to commit the changes
