Step One: Enter the Pledge Payment

  1. Go to Communities > Special Events > Friends Asking Friends > Kintera Thon
  2. Hover over your event and select Bookkeeping
  3. Choose Gift Entry
  4. To make an entry, you can search the database to see if the individual or organization is already a contact to avoid creating a duplicate contact
    • If the individual or organization is not in the database, click the New button
    • If the individual or organization is found in the database, mark the radio button beside their name to choose it for this transaction
  5. Within the second search area, locate the team or participant to which donor would like to credit with the pledge donation  
  6. Enter the payment amount, designation (if applicable) and donor information, ensuring all required fields are filled out
  7. In the Payment Status section, select the Pledge radio button
  8. Choose Donation as the Gift Type
  9. Click Submit.
Step Two: Confirm or edit the settings to allow pledge payments on the Honor Roll Scroll
  1. Navigate to the event's Webinfo Checklist
  2. Select Web Features
  3. Under the Pledge Entry Tool, unmark the option Do not add pending donations and pending sponsorships to donation totals on website.
    • Note: This is a global event change and can not be specified to specific participants or teams
  4. Click Save
  5. On the Webinfo Checklist, click Publish This Event Now
