Step One: Create a Test Registrant to replace the team captain

  1. Go to Communities > Special Events > Friends Asking Friends > Kintera Thon
  2. Hover above your Event Name and select Bookkeeping from the menu
  3. Select Registration Entry
  4. Click New
  5. Select "Join an Existing Team" as the registration option and choose the same team that the team captain is on 
  6. Fill out the form as the test registrant
  7. Click Submit 
Step Two: Promote the Test Registrant to Team Captain

  1. Click Bookkeeping in the breadcrumb path at the top (Communities > Special Events > Friends Asking Friends > Kintera Thon> Bookkeeping)
  2. Click Manage Initiative Records
  3. Search for the Test registrant
  4. Click Edit
  5. Under Edit Registration Information, click "Become a Team Captain of an Existing Team"
  6. In the pop up box, select the appropriate team.  Receive the screen "Team Change is complete"
  7. Click Close
Step Three: Merge the existing Team to another team
This will delete the original team
  1. Go to Communities > Special Events > Friends Asking Friends > Kintera Thon
  2. Hover over your event and select Event Admin
  3. Click Manage Teams and Team Members
  4. Select the team
  5. Highlight the team name
  6. Click the button "Merge Teams"
  7. Select a team to merge the existing team to
  8. Click Merge
Step Four: Make the previous Team Captain an Individual Participant
  1. Go to Communities > Special Events > Friends Asking Friends > Kintera Thon
  2. Hover above your Event Name and select Manage Initiative Records
  3. Search for the original team captain
  4. Click Edit
  5. Under Edit Registration Information, click Become an Individual Participant
Step Five: Delete the Test Registrant
  1. Click Bookkeeping in the breadcrumb path at the top (Communities > Special Events > Friends Asking Friends > Kintera Thon> Bookkeeping)
  2. Select Manage Initiative Records
  3. Search for the Test registrant
  4. Click Edit next to the participants name
  5. Click Delete Record from Initiative from the top menu
  6. Mark the radio button Delete record from event and reverse transaction
  7. Select Reversal 
  8. Enter a reason and a description
  9. Click Submit
