When processing profile updates for the Raiser's Edge Sphere Connector, the user may receive a pop up stating "There are no differences between this transaction and the constituent record." Even when those updates are rejected, they continue to be created by the system every time a sync is run.
This is caused because of processing time differences. At the time the update come through the connector, the Profile Update was valid. Once the administrator has started processing it, the update is no longer valid, but it must be "processed" in order for it to be removed.
For example, if an update came over on a Monday for a donation, but the donation was processed before the profile update, or if another sync came over with newer information (for example, Street was changed in Sphere to ST.) on Tuesday, Monday's Profile Update is now irrelevant and would cause the above message.
Thon Summary Fields also cause numerous profile updates. A new update will be sent over each time the participant logs into the HQs, emails supporters, or updates information. Click Here to minimize the incoming thon summary fields' data, in efforts to decrease the number of profile updates.
