Table entries are slow to inactivate

Transaction codes are linked to tables in The Financial Edge.  The table entries within the Transaction Code tables are related to transactions in the database.  Table entries that are obsolete may be marked as inactive.  Over time, as the number of table entries increases, the amount of time to inactive a table entry increases.
The performance time for inactivating entries is directly related to the number of entries in the table. As the number increases, the time to inactivate the entry increases proportionally.
