The computer is infected with a variant of the Virut virus.  Try each of the following steps in order until the issue is resolved: 

  1. Run a virus scan on the workstation
  2. Run a malware scan on the workstation
  3. Even though both scans may return no infections, if the hosts file entry continues to re-appear after removing the entry and rebooting the computer, then contact a qualified IT Security professional for removal of the virus

  4. Once the virus has been removed, then uninstall and reinstall The Financial Edge\The Education Edge on the workstation
