  • Browser: Internet Explorer 5.x; Netscape 4.5x

  • Disk: 40 MB free space
  • Network: 28.8 kbps
  • Monitor: 16 bit colors (high color)
Recommended:
  • Operating System: Windows XP Professional (SP2)
  • Browser: Internet Explorer 6.x+, FireFox 1.0+, Netscape 7.2+
  • CPU: P500+ MHz
  • Memory: 256+ MB RAM
  • Disk: 200+ MB free

In most cases, your web browser defaults are set up properly. However, if you are unsure or encounter problems when preparing for an online class, verify your web browser is set up as follows:

Internet Explorer 5.x and 6.x:
  • In the Tools menu, choose Internet Options.
  • On the Security tab, ensure the Internet zone is selected.
  • Click Custom Level.
  • In the Reset to drop-down list, ensure Medium is selected.
Netscape Navigator 4.x or later:
  • In the Edit menu, choose Preferences, Advanced. Ensure the following options are selected.
  • Enable Java.
  • Enable JavaScript.
  • Accept all cookies.
