Prerequisites to install SQL Server 2008 Standard 
  1. Review FundWare - Terminal Server Enterprise system requirements
  2. SQL 2000 and 2005 need to be removed before installing SQL Server 2008 Standard
  3. If upgrading FundWare, Contact Support and reference this article.  to request your 7.60 registration number.
  4. Verify the correct version of SQL:
    • FundWare 7.60 Professional must use SQL Express
    • FundWare 7.60 Enterprise must use SQL Standard
To install SQL 2008, you need to perform the following:
  1. On SQL Server Installation Center screen, click Installation on the left and click on New SQL Server stand-alone installation on the right
  2. On the Setup Rules screen, click OK
  3. On the Product Key screen enter the product key and click Next
  4. On the Setup License Terms screen mark the “I accept the licensing terms and conditions” checkbox and click Next
  5. On the Setup Support Files, click Install
  6. On the Support Rules screen if no rules fail, click Next
  7. On the Feature Selection screen, click Database Engine Services, SQL Server Replication, Management Tools Basic and Management Tools Complete and change the drive location to the D: drive (If applicable) and click Next
  8. On the Instance Configuration screen, verify the instance is set as NAMED INSTANCE, and change the name of the instance to MSSQLServer, click Next
  9. On the Disk Space Requirement screen, verify you have enough diskspace for SQL 2008 with FundWare and click Next
  10. On the Server Configuration screen, on the Service Accounts tab, for the SQL Server services, select “NT AuthoritySystem” for Account Name and Start-Up type as Automatic. Change the SQL Server Browser service to Automatic and click Next
  11. On the Database Engine Configuration screen, select the ‘Mixed Mode’ radio button, enter an SA password. It should be a complex password. Make a note of the password as well; you need it during the FundWare installation. Click ADD CURRENT USER to add the local administrator to the “Specify SQL Server Administrators” box. Add other users as your company policies deem necessary and click Next
  12. On the Error and Usage reporting screen, click Next
  13. On the Installation Rules, verify all rules have passed. If any failed, generated a warning or were skipped, click the View Detailed Report and fix anything as needed and click Next
  14. On the Ready to Install screen, verify information is correct. Fix anything that may be wrong, click Install
  15. On the Install Progress screen, click Next
  16. On the Completed Screen click Close
