Create an additional Addressee/Salutation and use this Addressee/Salutation in the Renewal Notices.


  1. Run Renewal Notices as normal. On the General tab, mark the checkbox to 'Create Membership output query'.
  2. Create a new Membership export, with a format of Blackbaud Simple Mail Merge (or Blackbaud Conditional Mail Merge).
  3. On the General tab, click Include, Selected Records, and pull in the Membership query, created in step #1.
  4. On the Output tab, select the following field: Cards, Name on Card.
  5. Select any other RE fields to include in the Renewal Notice on the Output tab as well.
  6. Create the merge document, using either a Simple or Conditional mail merge, depending on which format was chosen in step #2.
  7. Click 'Merge Now' in the bottom-right corner of the export to merge.
