A transaction has previously been entered in Sphere, then brought through the Connector and processed into The Raiser's Edge database. The transaction now needs to be reversed in Sphere due to a correction or a request from the supporter. Once the reversal is initiated, will this be reflected automatically in The Raiser's Edge?
At this time, payment reversals do not come through the Connector automatically. An organization must manually update the transaction record in The Raiser's Edge database to reflect the reversal in Sphere and reconcile the two. It is recommended that the organization periodically run reports on payment reversals in Sphere in order to ensure that any reversals have correctly been updated on The Raiser's Edge transaction records as well.
