A transaction type cannot be changed once it has been submitted due to the risk of data corruption.

Alternative Solution: Reverse the donation and ask the supporter to re-enter the transaction as the correct transaction type, or enter it through Bookkeeping on their behalf.
  1. Go to Communities > Special Events > Friends Asking Friends > Kintera Thon
  2. Hover above your Event Name and select Bookkeeping from the menu
  3. Select Manage Initiative Records
  4. Search for the supporter, based on the original transaction type (participant, donor or supporter)
  5. Click Edit next to the participants name
  6. Click Delete Record from Initiative from the top menu
  7. Mark the radio button Delete record from event and reverse transaction
  8. Select Reversal 
  9. Enter a reason and a description
  10. Click Submit
Now, the supporter can go to the front end of the website and contribute correctly, or a Sphere administrator can enter a transaction through Bookkeeping, if the payment information is known.
