1. Use Duplicate Checker to search for the contact records that are duplicates in Sphere.
  2. In the Duplicate Report box, click See Report.
  3. Mark the radio button in the Keep column for the record you wish to keep.
  4. For the other record in the set, select the radio button in the Move column.
  5. Click Compare
  6. Ensure that all accurate information is moved to the "Keep" record
  7. Click Merge
There is also a Batch Merge feature available which allows a user to merge many records at one time.  This can greatly speed up the merging process, but must be used with the understanding that each record will not be manually compared to the Keep record.  Any blank fields will be overwritten with information upon the merge.  To use Batch Merge:

  1. Use Duplicate Checker to search for the contact records that are duplicates in Sphere.
  2. In the Duplicate Report box, click See Report.
  3. At the top of the window, click Batch Merge.  Each set of records will now have a checkbox next to the first record in the set.
  4. Mark the checkboxes next to any sets that should be merged into one record.
  5. Click Batch Merge
  6. In the new window that appears, select the radio button next to Update Selected Duplicate Groups or Update All Query Duplicate Groups.
  7. Select the radio button determining how Sphere will choose the "Keep" record, which can either be the oldest record or the one most recently updated.
  8. Click Merge
