Some individuals or faculty/staff may have more than one affiliation to a school. For example, a faculty/staff person may have affiliations of Alumnus and Board Member. Currently, the Affiliation field on a record allows for one table entry.
1. Add the new attribute in Configuration, Attributes. For example, enter Additional Affiliations for the Attribute type. 2. In the Data Type field, select Table from the drop-down menu. 3. Select the existing Affiliation table 4. In Records, open the appropriate record, select the Attributes tab, and enter the appropriate descriptions for the attribute/record
1. Open the faculty record and click the Bio 2 tab. 2. In the Department/Position section, create a department entry called Board Member. 3. Add the department to each record that should have the affiliation.
Note: Attributes are defined by Record Type in Configuration, Attributes. If this information is needed on both Individuals and Faculty/Staff, be sure to set up the new attribute under both record types in Configuration.
