1. From Accounts Payable, select Open.
  2. Click on the box with the plus sign to the left of the folder for either PO Order or Invoice.
  3. Click on the New folder.
  4. Click on the obligation in question to highlight it.
  5. Click on Edit.
  6. Click on the Detail Lines tab and notate the account number(s) receiving this error.
  7. From General Ledger, select Accounts, select Chart of Accounts.
  8. Click on the empty box just to the left of the account(s) to highlight.
  9. Verify the account number(s) have the status of Active and have a correct attribute assigned.

OR

If the account numbers are correct in GL and if the obligations are still getting this error when posting, the obligation(s) might have some corruption, and need to be removed and entered again. 

  1. From Accounts Payable, select Open.
  2. Click on the box with the plus sign to the left of the folder for either PO Order or Invoice.
  3. Click on the New folder.
  4. Click on the obligation in question to highlight it. 
  5. Click on the Remove button.
  6. Rekey the obligations in Accounts Payable, and post again.
