If your school allows attendance to be taken by class or day in Configuration, Academic Years, the course can have class attendance entered for days when meetings are scheduled. Sometimes, you may not want all of a students classes included in attendance.
For example: if a student can enroll in 6 distance learning courses that each last only 15 minutes during the day, and the student is absent from school on a day when these classes are scheduled to meet, 1 day absence could look like the student missed 6 classes plus all the other enrolled classes for the student. To work around this, you can prevent these classes from being included in day attendance.
To prevent the course from being included in class attendance:
1. In Records, Courses, open the course record. 2. Click the Restrictions 2 tab and open the academic year. 3. Unmark the checkbox for include in class attendance. 4. Save and close the course record.
NOTE: unmarking this checkbox will give a warning that all class attendance will be deleted. Clicking ok will delete any class attendance that exists during the year for all class sections of the course.
