Create the Pre-notification file to send to the bank:

2.  Enter the number of the Bank (i.e., the use ID number of the FIA), or press F1 to select from a list of available FIAs, press Enter.
3.  The system asks for the item number. (Because there can be more than one parameter to select the employees included in the prenotification file, this number indicates which parameter is being entered.)
4.  Enter the item number (between 1 and 10). The Item number can be left a 1, press Enter.
5.  The system asks for the data item that will be used to filter employees for the prenotification file.
6.  Enter the data item, or press F1 and select from the list of data items.
(.EFT ACT is usually selected and includes all employees with a status of Pre-notification on the Direct Deposit tab.)  Press Enter.
7.  Enter First value and Last value of P. Make sure to delete all the tilde characters.  Press Enter.
8.  Leave Include/exclude at I to include and press Enter.
9.  If necessary, enter additional filter parameters.
10.  Press ESC to display the Define EFT Parameters options.
11.  Type E to end the session.
12.  Type 0 to accept your changes and return to the Maintenance menu.
13.  Transmit the ##PYN or ##PY2 files to the applicable financial institution to confirm the direct deposit information.

Change the setting to Active after the file has been accepted or the employee receives a normal (i.e., paper) paycheck.
