When running a Pivot report in The Raiser's Edge, you can export the data to Excel and work with the Pivot report using Excel functionality. This solution provides a resolution for the issue where the export is hanging. It is important to note that when exporting a Pivot Report, The Raiser's Edge exports all information in the report. For example, if all funds are pulling into the report, but the user is only showing specific funds, RE will still exporting the information for all funds, which can cause the process to take longer. It can also be caused by a process hanging on the workstation, which can be cleared with a reboot.
Follow each of the steps below until the issue is resolved:
Edit the query to add necessary filters, rather than using the filters of the Pivot Report. For example, if only including specific gift funds, filter on the funds in the Gift query, rather than just selecting the funds within the Pivot Report.
