Credit card numbers on cash gifts are no longer integrated with the Blackbaud Payment Service when they are saved or committed

Credit card numbers for one time cash or payment gifts are no longer stored in The Raiser's Edge version 7.91 or appear with question marks (????????????2468). In this version, credit card numbers are integrated with the Blackbaud Payment Service (BBPS) only in certain areas of the program.
  • One-time credit card gifts will be added into The Raiser's Edge version 7.91. However, full credit card numbers are not stored in the Blackbaud Payment Service. Credit card numbers will appear in Raiser's Edge as question marks (????????????2468).
  • Recurring Credit Card gifts or Pledges added in The Raiser's Edge 7.91 will integrate. The full credit card number is stored in the Blackbaud Payment Service. Credit card numbers will be truncated in Raiser's Edge with asterisks (************2468)
  • The batches that were used to add the gifts will also retain the integration with the Blackbaud Payment Service (in the event of issues when authorizing cards or creating EFT transmission files) and will appear with asterisks.
This practice was implemented in The Raiser's Edge 7.91 to meet the PA-DSS requirements.
