Possible causes:
  • The discrepancy may be caused by a difference in time zones. Blackbaud Payment Services & Blackbaud Merchant Services both use EST time. For example: if the gift was processed at 11:00 PM CST on 11/28, this would appear as 12:00 AM EST on 11/29 in BBMS. This would explain why the same gift has different dates, since it was made in a different time zone around midnight.
  • Determine if the transaction came from a page that is using a Payment Part. It is possible that a supporter placed the transaction in his or her 'shopping cart' on a particular day, but did not complete the payment for the transaction until days later. In the settings of the Payment Part, you can choose the option to automatically clear unpaid transactions after an expiration period.
