Blackbaud Sphere users may have Content Library content on their CMS site that they delete, but is still included in Google search results.
Blackbaud Sphere users can add pages to their CMS site which pull from content folders within the Content Library.
In the event a user deletes content from the library and submits this change to Google’s Webmaster Tools to have it removed from search results, Google will not accept this submission. When the outdated URL is clicked from the Google search results, it redirects to the homepage of the website and Google will only remove content from a search if the URL results in a 404 or 410 error.
In this case, users must either wait for Google to re-crawl their site and update their cache or completely remove the webpage, resulting in the content being removed.
