The following error occurs in a Constituent Query when the Assigned Solicitor Name or Soft Credit Recipient Name field is selected on the Sort tab and another field is the first Sort field. 

Error:  Query too complex.  General ODBC Error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Invalid column name 'LAST_NAME'. Native error:207 [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The cursor was not declared. Native error:16945
Download and install the latest patch, which contains all fixes from previous patches. If you are running an older version, download and install the latest version and then the patch. 

Alternative Solution:

On the Sort tab, move the Assigned Solicitor Name/Soft Credit Recipient Name field so it is first

OR

Remove Assigned Solicitor Name/Soft Credit Recipient Name completely from the Sort and Output tabs
