How to send an email blast based on registration type for a Friends Asking Friends event

An organization would like to send an email blast through communications  > eMail.  This email will only be sent to participants with specific registration types.  This solution lays out how to filter an email by registration type. 

The best way to create a receiver list based on registration type is to run a report and save it to a mailing list.

1. Navigate to Communities > Forms > Registration > 
2. Hover over the name of the event > Click Reports
3. Report Type: People: Registrations
4. Select Report: People: Registration Purchases Detail
5. Click Run Report
6. Under Customize Report, create your filter.
If you want to report on participants who selected specific registration types:
*Select Registration Type <> Contains Any Of <> Type the Registration Type one at a time separated by a comma (for more than one Reg Types).
*Select Registration Type <> Equals <> Type the Registration Type (for a single Reg Type).
If you want to exclude participants who selected specific registration types:
*Select Registration Type <> Not Contain <> Type the Registration Type one at a time separated by a comma (for more than one Reg Types).

7. Click Finish
8. Mark No - Run the report immediately and wait for it to complete.
9. Click Run Report
10. Once you get the report, click Save people to mailing list (link on top left)
11. On the pop-up window, give the list a name and click OK

Now you can pull the list into your receiver query

1. Navigate to Communication > eMail > 
2. Manage your email Campaign
3. Click your mailing receiver link
4. Click Saved Queries > Click Static List Library > Click Add
5. Search for the list Name
6. Mark the list to add to your query
7. Click Save
