To disable a Sphere CMS site:

  1. Go to Content > Content Management System and Manage the site you need to disable
  2. From the management window select the Properties sub-tab (under Home)

You'll find the Status in this pane.

  1. Click the Edit button to make changes
  2. Click the Disable button to disable your site. This will bring up a new window that allows you to customize the close message that appears.
  3. Select or edit the message you wish to appear and click Close to disable your site

If you are using a custom domain and need to apply it to a new Sphere CMS site, contact Sphere support to have that domain switched over to the new site.

If you wish to apply a redirect to another site we suggest adding a javascript snippet to the close message you use for the site, the one you selected when disabling the site.  However, this falls outside the scope of Blackbaud Support.

For a tutorial on javascript redirects you can go here:  We suggest using the code under "javascript window.location" and swapping the desired URL of the new site out for the reference to
