When renewing memberships through the add a payment screen, all outstanding commitments of the selected type for the constituent should appear. You may notice that the commitments are not automatically populating for memberships.
If this payment is under the SAME constituent for whom the membership commitment is for and the commitment is not automatically populating:
Ensure the Renewal Rules encompass the expiration date and date of the payment (Ex. If the Renewal Rules allow for 1 month before up to 1 month after expiration, the payment must be added within that date range for the commitment to automatically populate). Renewal Rules may be adjusted by going into the Membership Level under the Renewal Rules tab.
If this payment is under one constituent who is paying for a DIFFERENT constituent's membership commitment:
This commitment is not designed to automatically populate, as the application does not know which constituent to populate the commitments for. Please click Find Commitment on the Add a payment screen to search for other constituents' existing commitments.
