The first thing that should be done when a (407) Proxy Authentication Required error appears in the Connector is ensure that the following ports are open properly on the firewall:
 
  • Destination address
    • 64.209.141.226 is the Blackbaud FTP server
  • Ports to open
    • Outbound: TCP port 21 and TCP ports 1025 and above
    • Inbound: TCP ports 1025 and above
  • For Proxy settings, allow access to 
    • Secftp.kintera.com at 64.209.141.226
    • Connect.kintera.com at 64.209.141.64

If these settings are in place, and you can still not login through Scheduler, and the Proxy Authentication Required messages appear, please do the following:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click the Tools menu
3. Click Internet Options
4. Click the Connections tab
5. Click LAN Settings
6. Under Proxy server, click Advanced
7. In the Exceptions area, enter in both connect.kintera.com and secftp.kintera.com
8. Click OK and close out all Tools windows in Internet Explorer
9. If Raiser's Edge is still open, close the program
10. Open Raiser's Edge
11. Click the Sphere button
12. Attempt to log in again
