Error: Timeout expired. The timeout elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding when editing a prospect plans process

Prospects and plans can be edited as a group using the "Manage prospects and plans in bulk" functionality in the Prospects area.  The "Add Prospect Plans Process" tab is where users can set up a process to add a prospect plan with the same name, dates, and managers to a group of selected constituents.  When a user who does not have system admin rights attempts to edit one of these processes, they may receive the error: "Timeout expired. The timeout elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding."
