Error: Error opening export: File Access Error when exporting from The Raiser's Edge in Blackbaud Hosting Services

Users with their The Raiser's Edge database hosted by Blackbaud Hosting Services have the ability to export their queries, reports, and other information to their files folder for easy download to their local machines. Some users may experience the above error message when attempting to export out of The Raiser's Edge.
  1. Please empty your files folder of any files that do not need to live in the folder permanently.
  2. Ensure filename avoid characters such as \ / : * ? " < > | as these are reserved for use by the operating system itself. 
  3. Attempt to Export again.
