1.  Produce a TRBAL Trial Balance report for the Closing Period of your Fiscal Year End.  This will show the amounts in Revenue and Expense accounts as of the last date of the year.

  1. In Report Manager select General Ledger, and select Financial Statements.
  2. Produce a TRBAL Trial Balance report.
  3. In the Year-End field choose the current fiscal year end date.
  4. In the Period field choose the last option on the list (it will be either Detail, Adjustment or Reclass Date).
  5. In the Report Period field choose Closing.

     Tips:  

  •      Use this report to verify all accounts have correct attributes.
  •      Attributes are in the left-most column.
  •      Accounts which are missing attributes will not be processed in the year-end procedures.
  •      When running this report, you can select to include only the NA or FB attribute to report only the Net Asset or Fund Balance accounts closing balance.

2.  Produce a TRBAL Trial Balance report for the Beginning Period for your new Fiscal Year End.  This will show you the amounts in Revenue and Expense accounts as of the first date of the new year. 

  1. In Report Manager select General Ledger, and select Financial Statements. 
  2. Produce a TRBAL Trial Balance report.
  3. In the Year-End field choose the next year's fiscal year end date.
  4. In the Period field choose the last option on the list (it will be either Detail, Adjustment or Reclass Date).
  5. In the Report Period field choose Beginning  (You want to see the beginning balances for the "next" fiscal year)

If your Closing TRBAL and Beginning TRBAL are not correct, perform your Year-End Post and Roll functions again.
