The fields will show blank on the Directory part if the field is private. The field may show {Private} in the Profile Display part if logged in as the person that is being viewed from the directory or logged in as a Supervisor.

The fields are marked Private either by a default setting or the individual user chose to display the fields are private.

To make a default Private field Public by default:
  1. Navigate to Administration > Field Options
  2. Mark the check box Public by default next to the fields which should be public
  3. Click Save
NOTE: This change is not retroactive. For users who chose to have the fields display as private, their fields will continue to display as private. Changing the default settings does not overwrite the existing user's personal settings. This change will only apply to new records.
